Saint Lucia awarded "Best Caribbean Destination"

Saint Lucia (December 19, 2011)– Saint Lucia accepted the Readers Choice Award for Best Caribbean Destination at the 2011 Travel Weekly Readers Choice Awards Gala. Nominees included Aruba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica,Puerto Rico, St. Maarten. The ninth annual award winners were announced December 15th at The Plaza Hotel in New York.

Travel WeeklyReaders Choice Awards is comprised of nominees in 59 categories that represent the “best of the best of the travel industry.” The nominees and final winners are selected by Travel Weekly’s readers, a group of expert travel professionals, during two rounds of voting. The leading vote recipients were identified as finalists with the results tabulated by Travel Weekly's parent company, Northstar Travel Media.
